Do you install cast iron guttering on listed buildings?

Yes. We specialise in cast iron half-round, ogee and ornamental moulded rainwater goods for Grade I and Grade II listed buildings, rectories, manor houses and historic agricultural buildings, and liaise directly with conservation officers where required.

Which areas do you cover?

Our studio is in Highworth, Wiltshire. We work throughout the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Berkshire, and travel further afield across the South of England for the right commission.

What materials do you work with?

Cast iron, copper, zinc, lead and seamless or powder coated aluminium, selected to suit the period and architecture of the property.

Is the estimate really free?+

Yes. Sending photographs and a short description costs nothing and carries no obligation. In many cases we can give an initial indication of cost before anyone visits your property.

Do I need to know what guttering I have?+

No. Photographs of the front, back and any awkward corners are enough for us to identify the profile, material and likely size. If you know the material already, tell us, but it is not required.

How much does replacement guttering usually cost?+

Most whole-house aluminium gutter replacements on a typical family home fall between around £5,000 and £10,000, depending on the length of run, the number of storeys, access and whether fascias and downpipes are being renewed at the same time. Heritage cast iron and copper systems cost more.

What happens after I send my photographs?+

We review them, come back to you with an initial indication and any questions, and arrange a site visit when you are ready to proceed to a fixed written quotation.

Do you only work on listed and period properties?+

No. We work on ordinary family homes, extensions and new builds just as often as on listed buildings and country houses. A straightforward aluminium gutter replacement is an ideal job for us.
