Do you install cast iron guttering on listed buildings?

Yes. We specialise in cast iron half-round, ogee and ornamental moulded rainwater goods for Grade I and Grade II listed buildings, rectories, manor houses and historic agricultural buildings, and liaise directly with conservation officers where required.

Which areas do you cover?

Our studio is in Highworth, Wiltshire. We work throughout the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Berkshire, and travel further afield across the South of England for the right commission.

What materials do you work with?

Cast iron, copper, zinc, lead and seamless or powder coated aluminium, selected to suit the period and architecture of the property.

How do I arrange a consultation?

Every project begins with a site visit by appointment. Call 01367 248417 or email guttering@austendawson.co.uk to arrange.

Our Story

Years of craftsmanship in the rainwater arts.

Cotswold stone country house with traditional guttering

A Considered Practice

Tailored, discreet and entirely sympathetic to the architecture it serves.

Every project is managed directly by our specialist team, from the first site walk to the final downpipe fixing, and delivered by experienced installers who share the same standards.

AD Bespoke Guttering works on cottages, listed properties, country estates and new builds across the Cotswolds, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire. Most of our work is directly for homeowners, and we also collaborate with conservation architects, main contractors and estate managers on projects that demand both technical rigour and an instinct for proportion.

AD Bespoke Guttering is part of the Austen Dawson group. Alongside the guttering practice, Austen Dawson runs a wider construction business delivering building projects across the South of England. You can learn more at www.austendawson.co.uk.

The Ethos

Four principles that guide every project.

– 01

Heritage First

Materials, profiles and fixings chosen to honour the period and architecture of the property.

– 02

Hand-Finished

From joints to fine detailing, every element is installed with care and finished to the highest standard.

– 03

Discreet Conduct

Considerate site practice, minimal disruption and absolute respect for the household.

– 04

Long Standing Care

Tailored maintenance plans so the work we install today endures for generations to come.

By Austen Dawson

“A house is told as much by its hoppers and downpipes as by its windows. Get them right, and the building is at ease.”
